What we believe
We are a group of Christian
s that believes the Bible to be the inerrant Word of God – from Genesis to Revelation. We do not have a particular creed or a written document outlining what we believe from the bible and we cannot, in a few sentences, relate all the tenets of our faith here – but there are some basic principles to which we hold fast:
We believe that all Scripture is God breathed, and so we accept the importance of understanding the whole Bible in its proper context ; interpreting and then applying it to our lives today.
( 2 Timothy 3:16)
We are committed to loving God with all our heart, mind, soul and strength and caring for each other and those in our society, as the scriptures command us (Matt. 22:37-40;John.13:34-35)
We believe the church is the family of God on earth and that Jesus is its head (Colossians 1:18.) The church s made up of true disciples –followers of Christ (John 8:31) who have made Jesus their Lord.
We have been saved by grace through faith as a gift from God and not by anything that we have done. (Ephesians 2: 8-10).We accepted the gift of salvation by repentance and baptism for the forgiveness of our sins (Acts 2:38) for all who would call themselves disciples of Jesus must be born again of water and the Spirit (John 3: 3-5).
As a church, we are committed to sharing the gospel with all we come into contact with in the hope that we can win as many as possible for the cause of Christ. Therefore it is our goal to plant churches of followers of Christ throughout our region of the world – the Caribbean. (Matt.28:18-20.)
